MY STORY
Believe it or not, I wasn’t always an animal lover. As a child, I was actually afraid of dogs. That changed as a teenager when my family adopted Foxey, a mild-mannered dog who won me over in a matter of days and sparked a love for animals I didn't know existed.

Years later, while living in Chicago, I intended to adopt another dog—but life had other plans. I met a beautiful cat named Lilly Lou who needed a home. The moment she jumped into my arms, I knew I had found my soulmate. Lilly Lou became my constant companion, traveling with me across the country and living in four states, before eventually settling with me in Huntington Beach.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE NAME
The name "Auntie Lindy" started in 2014 when I was living in Greenville, NC and began pet sitting for a colleague’s puppy, Brandy. Because my career in college athletics required frequent travel, I knew exactly how stressful it was to leave a furbaby behind, so I made sure Brandy was loved and cared for like my own baby, while sending pictures, videos, and updates to her dad throughout his time away.

Over the last decade, I became the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and neighbors, caring for everything from dogs and cats to fish, turtles, and mice. I treated every one of them like my own four-legged niece or nephew, earning the nickname I now use for my business.
CHASING A NEW DREAM
I worked my dream job in athletic communications and media relations for nearly 20 years. However, when Lilly Lou was diagnosed with lymphoma, diabetes, and eventually kidney failure, my perspective shifted. Traveling for work became incredibly difficult. Despite loving my job, that's all it was: a job. Lilly Lou was family and I wanted to cherish every second with her.

After she passed in 2020, I eventually opened my heart to new rescues: twins Jack and Pepper, and later, Dottie and Bruce. Each time I had to leave them for long hours at a game, or days on end for road trips, I felt a pull toward a different path. I realized that although I still had a passion for athletics, my heart belonged to my babies. They inspired me to chase a new dream that allows me to spend more time with them, while also loving and taking care of other people's furbabies and giving them the comfort of knowing their pets are well taken care of while they are gone.
MY PROMISE TO PET PARENTS
I founded Auntie Lindy’s Pet Care in honor of Foxey and Lilly Lou. My goal is to provide the peace of mind and comfort I always looked for as a pet parent myself.

When your pets are under my watch, they aren't just getting a quick visit. They are getting someone who will love, play with, and spoil them as if they were my own family. I am honored to be the person you trust with a piece of your heart.
